Furniture for a new frontier

Burgtec’s scope encompassed bespoke furniture solutions throughout the terminal lounges and passenger concourses. Each piece was engineered to meet strict criteria for longevity, cleanability and accessibility under 24-hour public use. Responding to the terminal’s design palette, furniture colours and materials were inspired by the surrounding landscape, from the red soils of Badgerys Creek to the blue and green hues leading to the mountains. At least half of all seats incorporate integrated charging points, while accessibility features were integrated from the outset. The inclusion of soft furnishings within the terminal’s public areas set a new standard for Australian airports, pairing design sophistication with performance at scale.

Powering Australia’s first all-electric hospital with purposeful design.

With hygiene, employees’ wellbeing and patient‑data privacy central to the design, Burgtec delivered fit‑for‑purpose solutions across seven floors. The end result: a cohesive environment that supports clinical care, staff performance and patient comfort.
