Stewardship Policy

Burgtec is proud to be one of the only Australian office furniture manufacturers to be able to offer our own Commercial 3 Ru2019s (Reclaim u2013 Recycle u2013 Reprocess)* program for all Burgtec Australia manufactured workstations, tables, lounges and chairs. We guarantee that all workstations, tables, lounges and chairs reclaimed under this program will NOT GO TO LANDFILL.

Once recovered, the product will either be recycled back through our supply chain in materials such as melamine or fully recycled using one of our accredited recycling agents (ARA).

The potential value of this can be realized in two ways:

The energy replacement value based on the amount of fossil fuel (coal, gas and diesel) displaced by the use of PEF; and
The carbon and renewable energy benefits that may in turn be accrued via:
u2022 Carbon value from avoided fossil fuel use
u2022 Benefits from avoided emissions from landfill
u2022 Renewable Energy Certificates
All these processes are carried for Burgtec in Australia; no product will be shipped overseas for recycling or reprocessing.

The Burgtec Commercial 3 Ru2019s take back program will be offered on a project by project basis.
