By the time it arrives on site, every other trade has used the float and the date hasn’t moved at all. Doing that well, hundreds of desks at a time, is the part of a project we’ve spent forty-five years getting good at.
Home / How we work with clients
An architect, a client and a builder each carry a different concern, and they rarely overlap. Whichever one you’re holding, that’s the one we work to.
You’ll have what you need, when you need it.
Nothing should take you by surprise.
Your program stays intact.
Restricted access, sequences that changed weekly, and dates that had been set years in advance. These are the jobs where the furniture package either holds a program together or becomes the reason it fails.
Bundall, QLD. Three buildings, eighteen floors. Over 2,300 workstations plus seating, tables and storage, delivered in three stages of eight to ten weeks.
Finished on time and providing a substantially value-managed solution for the client.
Hervey Bay, QLD. Fraser Coast Regional Council’s new civic heart at Pialba: a two-level library, council administration offices, chambers, a disaster resilience centre and a public plaza on one 9,000m² site. We supplied the entire workstation and loose furniture package, working alongside Hansen Yuncken and Cottee Parker.
A once-in-a-generation project for the region, with commercial furniture designed for both staff at their desks and the public using the library and plaza. Delivered on time and on budget in regional QLD.
Luddenham, NSW. Gate, retail and food and beverage furniture across every terminal, plus back-of-house workstations, built for continuous public use in the most challenging of commercial spaces.
Delivered with Multiplex for Australia’s first greenfield airport in fifty years.
Not every project uses all seven. How many apply depends on how you come to us: through your architect or builder, through a design-and-construct partner, or directly.
We start with your program, your budget and how you’d like to work with us. That first conversation shapes everything that follows.
If you’re working with us directly, we’ll help plan the space and build a specification alongside you, and where your floor plate calls for it, we’ll re-engineer a standard product to suit.
With comprehensive showrooms located in each market, you can see it and sign off on it before anything goes into production. This is the stage to change your mind, and plenty of people do. Our standard is to offer huge customisation, and we have full sets of samples available immediately for selection.
A project manager takes ownership from here. They secure the materials, lock in the delivery schedule and issue drawings for your approval, so there’s no question about what’s coming or when.
Your approved drawings go into production with our manufacturing partners, managed end to end with weekly updates from the same point of contact you’ve been dealing with all along.
We stage it to suit your site rather than our warehouse. Where a program has been at risk, we’ve taken secure on-site compounds and delivered ahead of schedule to protect the date.
We hand over defect-free, then stay with it: audits, repairs and replacements for the life of the product, and recycling at the end of it.
They go wrong because of an assumption that wasn’t documented. So we spend a lot of effort at the start on the unglamorous part: agreeing who is doing what, and when.
Contacts, approvals, milestones and site interface are agreed at the outset. Getting everyone aligned at the start prevents the misunderstandings that cost time later on.
Schedules, shop drawings and sign-off points mean nobody is left guessing about what’s being supplied, how it’s configured or when it arrives.
Procurement, lead times, staging, access, loading and installation are handled as one process, and around live sites and conditions that keep changing.
“My colleagues asked how I was going to pull this together in six weeks. I told them I’m dealing with Burgtec.”

Send us the details, our team is ready to assist. We love to hear from clients wherever they are on the journey. We can help with space planning and selections, or if you already have drawings and a specification, we’ll work from those and identify where we can add the most value within your project timeframe.
