The Stage 2 redevelopment of Campbelltown Hospital added a 12-storey clinical services building to the campus, expanding emergency, maternity, children's, operating theatre, imaging and cancer services for South West Sydney. Burgtec supplied the workstations and soft seating package across admin and clinical areas, including nurse stations. Designed by Billard Leece Partnership and built by CPB Contractors for Health Infrastructure NSW, the building carries six storeys of mental health services and was one of the first facilities in Australia to unify mental health with mainstream health provision. Furniture in a working hospital has to hold up to continuous clinical use while keeping the calm, patient-centred feel the design set out to achieve.
