The Department of Home Affairs fitted out offices at 2 Constitution Avenue, an A-Grade building on a prominent corner site at Constitution Avenue and London Circuit in the Canberra CBD, a short walk from the ACT Legislative Assembly. Burgtec supplied the workstations, storage, tables and booths on a 12-week program, specified by IA Group and built by FDC. The fitout balances open workstations and storage with booth seating and meeting settings, drawing on sweeping views across the city centre. Government tenancies in a multi-tenant commercial building bring their own constraints, and the package had to work within base building limits while meeting departmental standards.
