The Hervey Bay City Centre Community Hub is Fraser Coast Regional Council's new civic heart in Pialba, bringing a two-level library, council administration offices, chambers, a disaster resilience centre and a public plaza together on one site for completion in 2026. Burgtec is supplying the entire workstations and loose furniture package across the library, office areas and council chambers, working closely with builder Hansen Yuncken to land a complex, multi-use scope on time and on budget. Designed by Cottee Parker, the $108.7 million hub is a once-in-a-generation project for the region, and the furniture has to work as hard for staff at their desks as it does for the public using the library and plaza.
