Maitland is one of the fastest growing cities in NSW and as such, the council long since outgrew its administration building.
In 2021 the Council began developing a fit for purpose Administration Centre in the heart of historic Maitland. Â Located at 263 High Street, the project saw the construction of a new 5000sqm building along with the refurbishment of the heritage listed Town Hall building. Designed to accommodate further growth and an expanding workforce for the next few years, the administration building provides for over 300 staff.
Burgtec was engaged to supply the complete workstation and furniture package for 3 floors of private offices, open work areas, meeting rooms and breakout areas, which included multiple impressive custom pieces.
As the council settles into its new home the staff will enjoy the functionality of this stunning workplace, cleverly designed to provide muti-purpose zones to suit various working situations.
